Welcome to my website!
My name is Michael (Max) Lauro. I am an NCAA All American and All-SEC athlete from LSU. In Track and Field, my event specialty is the Hammer Throw. Having just competed as one of a very few collegiate athletes at the 2012 Olympic Trials in Beaverton, Oregon, I have my sights set on the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.
Being that there is little to no financial support for athletes like myself aspiring to compete on the elite circuit, I am asking for your help! Your contributions will provide me with the means to train at a professional level and succeed!
I have employed continuous improvement and Kaizen in my training protocols thus far. My pursuit of applying these principles has helped me maintain a competitive edge in a sport that is dominated by men who are much bigger than myself. In fact, at 5’ 10 “ tall and 210 lb… I am one of the smaller men and among the youngest of the top 20 throwers in the country. And I will NEVER YIELD.
My continuous improvement has not only helped me in my sport, but also in my studies. I am now attending Graduate School at LSU studying the marketing and innovation techniques, which I hope to use for improving the sport of Track and Field.
Your generosity is most appreciated.
